My quaker parrot keeps swooping down on family members what to do?
My husband rescued a 2 yr old Quaker Parrot that was sitting on top of his car, dehydrated one day after work. After taking it to the vet and looking to see if anyone had lost a quaker parrot we decided just to keep him. However lately Sunny (thats what we named him) has been flying around the house and swooping down on my husband and my 2 small children. When we keep him in his cage he doesn't seem happy at all and cries a lot, but when we let him have free range to fly wherever he acts what seems like kind of aggressive. Should we just get his wings clipped? I am so afraid that doing this will traumatize him in. He really likes me a lot, he likes to just sit perched on my shoulder and groom me, and he purrs when he is content. I just don't know what to do about the swooping down on people, its almost like he is trying to attack them or something, and it frightens my little ones.
