Wireless router wont reach in my house add addional router on same cable line?

I have 2 modems. one wireless and connected to my grandmas computer. I thought that the signal would reach to where i am in the house but it will not becuase of wall design or whatever. I also have a second, wired modem and a cable line in my room. How can i get the internet through that modem. is that possible?
