Ferret isn't feeling well today..?

My ferret seemed a little off today. I wouldn't say he is sick, because he has been running around and playing like usual, the only thing is he didn't want to eat. I force fed him his food with a syringe and he seemed to enjoy the food and he ate quite a lot of it. I'm keeping him hydrated and I am feeding him every few hours to make sure he doesn't get dehydrated or anything. He has been going to the bathroom normally and it looked normal. Also, his right eye looked a bit watery. Is it possible that he has a cold? If he is still acting a little strange tomorrow I will get him to the vet. What should I do until then? thanks :)
