Xbox live connection problems?

Ok so i have a wireless xbox live router and im having problems. Everyday there's a different problem. For example, Call of Duty. Some days i have crystal clear connection, no problems. Other days i can't get into 1 game and if i do i lag like no tomorrow. I try re-testing my connection, turning off my Router and turning it back on, and turning off my Xbox but nothing works. Help please?
