TF2 Wireless controller help?

I am trying to play Team Fortress 2 on my laptop with a wireless xbox 360 controller, but i cant seem to get the game to recognize the controller. It works fine with a wired one, and the wireless one works fine with some other games, just not this one. I have the wireless reciever for the controller, but it still refuses to recognize it. Anyone have any idea on what i might need to do to get this working?
