Laptop wireless connection problems?

me and my boyfriend both have laptops, we are always online, and my laptop is fairly newer than his, he never loses connection, but mine constantly does, i have reset my modem, and i dont know what else to do, can anyone give me any ideas? could it be something wrong with my laptop? HELP! as this is getting really annoying! :)
