Having laptop troubles with the internet?

I have a HP PaviliondvR (as it says on the fron of my laptop) Any way, its been working really slow lately so i asked my step father to try to fix it, he think he knows everything about laptops, hes fixed it other times but there always seems to be a problem when he does.. this time, he used crap cleaner, and un installed alot of things, when he gave it back to me i couldnt get on the internet, theres a touch screen top on my laptop for volume and the wireless button, and the wireless said it was off, so i tyied to touch it but it stayed orange, and wont go back on, right now im plugged into the router but i cant get on wireless, i think he unstalled whatever it is i needed to use wireless when he was uninstalling everything on crap cleaner.. im sorry if you dont understand what im trying to say, im not good with computers so i just tryed my best... but if you know anything that i would have to re install or download please let me know! thank you soo much! I really appriciate it(:
