Biology help - ! -10 points best answer! (centrioles)?

Okay, all you have to know really is that centrioles are controls the directions of the organelles when a cell is dividing (aka mitosis/meiosis). Two centrioles move to opposite sides (or poles) of the cell and begin polymerizing microtubules. What the text means by the "polymerization of microtubules," is the centrioles FORM microtubules. Microtubules are one of the ways the cell keeps its structure and can attach to organelles in the cell (like mitochondria or the nucleus, or even the centromere in a sex cell which is what is in the center of a chromosome) to begin to pull them to the side of the cell so when the cell completes its division, it will have the proper amount of whatever it is that the centriole attached to. If you google or look up somewhere the steps of mitosis or meiosis, you will get a much better understanding on what they do.
